“It’s a hard knock life”

It’s no secret that African Americans were and is marginalized in every aspect of life in these United States. The unemployment ratio is double compared to European Americans and institutions from government to local levels are unsympathetic to the health and welfare of African Americans.
In regards to education I have thrived under these social constructs and acquired knowledge throughout my life. My hard work paid off when I eventually became the principal of my school in Fayetteville, NC. I passed my BAR exam and began work as a stenographer.
I wrote my first short story that was officially published in the Atlantic Monthly.
