That fear you speaking of is what made him conjure people like me in the first place. He see a world where colored people still fear masters when they suppised to be free and decide he gonna make a goopher of his own and he called it The Conjure Woman. Both black and white man must answer to the goopher and he just done found a new way of to goopher away some trouble.
